Post Mx5 Transmission swaps

Hey guys,
im currently in the build of a mazda r100 ute, and have chose the bp4w as the platform. and well the pans have escalated and am now shooting for 400hp. the stock 5speed wont cope.
i was wondering if anyone knew of any bellhousing patterns that suit an mx5.
hoping through the use of commen transmissions with bellhousings and adaptor plates i can mount something with a bit more guts up to my motor.
if someone can help me out that would be greatly appreciated.
cheers Beau.

You want the 6-speed, found in 99-05 Miata’s. It’s a direct bolt on.

There are a few transmissions you ca. use. However anything other than a 6 spd will cost quite a bit. ZF BMW trans is a common one

Interesting question. I wonder why it has never come up on this board before?
