Na6 with 1.8 differential swap: driveshaft too short
Hi new here, hoping I can find a cheaper solution here quickly. In the process of installing a 97 1.8 open diff in the a Na6 but I realized the driveshaft is too short by around a quarter inch. The driveshaft I bought said 1.8 94-05 manual driveshaft. Though I've started to think they sent me an automatic since it was from eBay, because the research I found says the 1.8 95-05 automatic driveshafts changed by length through the years, but the info seemed like it wasnt very credible. So I'm hoping IF there's a cheaper route, like spacers?? Or maybe more info on fitment of the diff.
Oh, and on one of the diff mounts, the 2 smaller studs snapped. Are those a necessity? And are they a painful process to remove and replace?

Dont bother with making up spacers etc for the tailshaft.
You can buy them for $50 from a wrecker.
as for the studs, you're talking about the two smaller ones that hold the plate near the main diff bolts on the moustache bar?
If so, then yes, they're important.
They locate the other half of the diff bushings, and actually hold the diff in place.
