I have a Racepak dash that came with my car and has a super ghetto magnet/sensor pick-up on the driveshaft. It seems to only work half the time and I like to know how fast I'm going . The dash can use any pulsing sensor and I can calibrate it, so I'm wondering if the NB sensor will work in my NA8 5 spd transmission? Is there provisions for it to thread into the tail shaft on the earlier cars?

Yes it bolts up the same as the mechanical sensor.
