Find the vendor section and look for MS Labs. Study his MS3 BASIC thread. There is a good chart of features of the different MS units out there.

RyanG has a build thread on an MSM in progress called "Clean and Mean" that may be useful.

Since you are working with a mostly stock MSM, check in on the mazda-speed.com forum which discusses your car specifically. Miataturbo.net is more technical and knowledgeable overall but you will find the MSM specific answers easier on the MSM site.

thank you all so much for your help, I'm gonna hit the books and do some serious research. when I figure it all out I'll post plans of what to do to my car and get some feedback from all you veterans
