So I as I was replacing the shifter bushings and boot prepping the MSM trans I was getting ready to swap in, when I noticed the shifter had a slight bent to the left and rear. I'm not sure if this is normal for the 6-speeds as my 5-speed shifter is quite straight in comparison.
I never really noticed this in my GF's MSM before she traded it in. I'm not sure if this was Mazda's way of compensating for the extra gate needed for reverse or is it just bent. I could see this easily happening from being transported in the the bed of a truck not secured in anyway, as I suspect this was at one time.
So is this normal or do I need to go buy a MRSS cause mine is all fucked up...
