Question Open diff '96 to '99 Torsen swap question

hey all! Got a quick question or two for you all:

Info: '96 Miata (Base) 1.8L, 5 speed MT, Open diff, N/A induction, weight removal, roll cage, custom gauges, etc.

I have recently purchased a '99 Torsen diff that is still mounted to the front carrier assembly (see linked pic) and am wanting to swap out the open diff that is currently still in the car

Now for the questions:

1. Is it as easy as popping the old one out, and putting the new one in, or does it need to be taken to a diff place to have it aligned?

will the axles and half shafts all play together, or will i need to get different ones (the guy i bought it from was trying to sell me some other axles from a '94)

all the help is appreciated!

Yes, you can just put the new diff in the carrier, and yes your axles will work.

No alignment necessary
