I'm installing my M-tuned rear sport brake conversion kit, I ran into a small problem.
Are the springs the same on the 1.6 and 1.8? I bought a caliper hardware kit for a 1.8 today but I cant seem to get the springs to stay no matter how I position them.

The brake pads are axxis ultimates, they dont have the little holes in them for the springs like the pads for the 1.6 do. They do have a protrusion on them that the 1.6 pads don't have.

Anyone else run into this?

IIRC you use the top notch on the pads...as yes the springs are the same.

 

Yeah that's what I figured, but they just pop out
