I got a new transmission since im replacing my clutch and my old one has been grinding a lot and struggling with going into reverse or 5th. The only problem is that the metal plate/housing around the shifter turret cracked i believe from poor storage from the person i bought it from. I was planning on using the one from my old transmission, but the only video i've seen about removing the turret requires you to split the transmission, there's not too much information so I was just wondering if that's the only way.
