Nah, it makes sense. I know what synchros and gears are supposed to do, I guess my trans is just done.

Come to think of it, 5th gear got the **** beat out of it thanks to the tire trailer and the horrible, horrible surface on 680 (IIRC) on the way to ThunderHill the weekend before this all started. :(

I posted in my thread if fail (SC section) that I bled the hell out of the clutch and adjusted the pushrod until it felt like it was bottoming out, and I can baaaaaaarely get into reverse now, and if I accidentally shift into 5th, I can get it out about 80% of the time.

No response about the 6 speed I inquired about in the classifieds, so I assume its gone. Sucks, because I can hit Sunnyvale after work if I sneak out early and borrow the old mans Ranger
