Slipping clutch on the dyno only (?)
Hey,
I got a 97 turbo miata @ 15psi with a small turbo, on the street the clutch will hold very good and the car drives very hard.
I just got on the dyno yesterday, the the clutch slipped from the first try to do a full swipe, lowering boost to 12psi - didn't help. (very noticeable smell was present)
I had my clutch pedal bump-stop torn, after that the clutch pedal was adjusted in order to have lest dead travel.
All was good, then, I got the pedal bump-stop and installed it, at the first run, the clutch slipped like never before - all the time in low boost. (btw no noticeable smell was present)
The pedal was adjusted again and no slippage !
Could all this have something to do with the dyno slip ?
New clutch ? pedal adjustment ?
If I get a new clutch should I take a light flywheel for a street car or not ? (fm 10lb)

I just re'clutched and chose the stock flywheel for Street.
Too light and you can get transmission chatter. Which I understand is not noticeable at14lb. Depending on clutch weight etc.
However I would definitely prefer the added gains. And would have bought a lighter one if I was not forced into an engine swap and had extra funds.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

On the dyno we run 5th gear (it is a 6spd) for 1:1 ratio, on the street I do not think I tested 5th from bottom to redline...
FM clutch or somthing else ?
It is a dynapack btw
