Speedo Sensor: '90 4.3 VLSD to '02 3.9 LSD
Hi all,
I was hoping someone could give me some help with correcting my speedometer after swapping in a 3.9 Torsten LSD from a 2002 into my 1990 which previously had the original 4.3 VLSD.
I've scoured the Internet for information on it, but I can't seem to come up with a solution. It seems many people just live with the in accuracy of the speedometer.
Obviously the speed sensor needs to be changed or modified, however The 90 has a mechanical/cable speed sensor believe the 02 has an electronic speed sensor. I have no problem purchasing the correct speed sensor and installing, but how do I get my car to except it?
The car will be running on 15x9, 225/45/15's.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have stock gauges? Revlimiter can make custom gauge faces and can correct for speedometer inconsistencies when he prints them.
Aside from a bit of black magic speedo gear swaps, I haven't found a definitive solution aside from converting clusters or throwing in a GPS speedometer in the cluster.

I bought mine from Chikara motorsports out of Vancouver CA. Their website currently sucks for some reason however. http://chikaramotor.com/catalog/
