I will be driving through NC next Friday. If I get an address and it is not to far out of my way I am willing to pay Bernie a visit. A friend has an old blown Bilstein shock, that I could use to make him an offer he can not refuse.

They shipped monday for realz. However, he used the USPS package service without regular tracking updates. I've suffered through this USPS (non priority mail) **** before, its going to take 2 weeks to get to me, I know it.
I'm pretty excited. I'm going to start a new thread when I get them and comment on them. I'm hoping the wait was worth it but i'm pretty skeptical so we'll see. I just dont see how a 500 dollar set of shocks can possibly be as good as everyone makes them out to be. I hope i'm wrong.

Thats good to hear. I still find it somewhat funny that I am basically the only person who had only minimal problems getting my shocks. It only took a few weeks of pestering not months.
As for the quality, you will like them... trust me. However make sure you run the rates that he valved them for. I ran my SD's on 550/350lb springs for a bit when they were valved for 700/400. While it was lightyears better than stock valved shocks with the same 350/550 rates, when I finally made the jump to 700/400 later in the summer it was night and day difference. The shocks are amaizing.

If revalved shocks are all the rage then maybe someone should step up and corner the market, leaving bernie holding nothing but his dick in his hand.

For real. He should have shipped either USPS Priority or UPS Ground. Seeing that he's obviously a horseshit business man this is just almost expected at this point.

Honestly i've thought about it. I've done tons of research on shock valving and looked at hundreds of shock dyno graphs to try and get a handle on whats going on.
The conclusion that i've come to is that you #1 need a shock dyno (way too expensive), #2 need many other fairly pricey tools, #3 need years of experience of shock valving to be good at it.
As much as I'd love to get into the game of shock valving, the reality is that i'm a college student with little money and zero free time to learn anything other than what i'm learning at school.
