In response to some folks asking us what sway bars we recommend for the Sport springs, we added a "Tecna Handling Kit" option package that includes a medium size front bar, end links and brace blocks. Saves a few bucks. Not as hardcore (or expensive) as our Big Grip Kit with Xidas. For standard springs, we still recommend stock sway bars.
Had a couple folks ask about this, and since we've moved to Swifts on all Xidas we've also decided to add a Swift spring upgrade option for Tecna, now available on the website. For now we've made it available only for Sport springs, but if someone really wants Swifts for the street springs that can be done as well.
$300 to upgrade to Swifts, so you're getting a $100 credit for removal of the standard springs. If you're upgrade to Sport rates already, then it's only $200 more to get Swifts.

I know this is off-topic, but you would absolutely corner the ND/124 market with a similar price point with your better DD ride goals. Stock Bilsteins with lowering springs bounce around way too much and I don't want to spend XIDA money for my current DD supercharged 2020 RF.
Once we get NA/NB Tecnas out and rocking, and a couple wheel sizes, we will begin dev on ND Tecna. No idea how long it will take, but that's high on the list for next project.
We'd love to do NC but it's just going to be *really* difficult to meet our standards for ride and handling at a good price point. ND will be comparable to NA/NB in terms of dev time. Plus, there is more demand for ND parts than NA/NB, at least from what we're seeing in the Xida world.
Um, I hope you don't mean the ND Tecnas would have a 10 year dev time like these NA/NB Tecnas have had lol.
If ND parts do indeed have more demand than the NA/NB stuff, then you know what you must do! I like the modern comforts that are in the ND/124 and it would be difficult to go back to the earlier cars for me. I have had XIDA ACE's, long-stroke Ohlins, different lowering springs on Konis and stock Bilsteins, etc. I have been through so much money and suspension set-ups and nothing can seemingly tame my local broken roads. I would have very high hopes for ND/124 Tecnas, because they are designed just for ride comfort. Please make my dreams a reality!
FWIW, these didn't have a 10-year dev time. It was about a year, and most of that was spent determining if this supplier could even do what we wanted them to do. Now that we have a solid supplier, things should go pretty smoothly.
Interested in this. I'm on DIY bilsteins. I don't track or anything but if these are an improvement on street driving as well. Hmm.

Until then, here is the gist
- The standard valving is just simply not ideal for a miata. They neither ride nor handle particularly well as a result.
- They are OEM length which doesn't really allow you to lower the car much without bottoming.
- They are non adjustable.
- To make them the same dimensions, adjustable,same spring rate as Tecna would cost you $1k more than Xidas run.
- If you are OK with the bottoming from being too long, not being damping adjustable and having the wrong damping rates, and start with a used set you buy off of eBay or something, you can put together a set for about $200 less than a set of Tecna
For the person that already has an old set of Bilsteins and OK with the functional compromises, it's not a bad economic decision. But going out and buying a set of used Bilsteins doesn't stack up against just pulling the trigger on the set of Tecna.

Sounds like worthwhile improvements over my setup. I need to quit being lazy and install the clutch I just got from you guys and then consider these, too.
Looks like the 6k/4k Techna have no helpers and the 9k/6k do? I am honestly surprised it's only $100 more in that case. You guys are doing some amazing work with supply chain and cost savings if so.
I had 700/400 Xidas for a long time (oops, don't wait for 30k miles to rebuild on a street car, needed four new bodies and both rear shafts) and my car is currently on NA Spec Miata take off Bilstiens with the NB tophat adapter kit and bumpstops (scored the whole set for $125 shipped), running 325/225 springs on ebay coilover sleeves. The whole setup cost $350. It will be fun to see how the Techna sprt compare to both of these.
(the bilstiens are on the car since the Xida had to come off, it's amazing how much better the Xida rode on twice the spring rate on the crap roads around her, but the bilstiens are acceptable and will be going on a beater car once the techna snow up)
This looks like it has the potential to be a great product at a compelling price point.
Just to confirm: are these dampers linear or digressive? I'm not seeing any definitive documentation on the site or in this thread.
Also, I see that the next video is a tech deep-dive which may also answer this question.
