Default Trick for trailering part outs

Hey guys just wanted to share a quick tip for moving a car without suspension. I welded in pieces of 3/4 inch pipe in place of the Konis I removed and sold. This will get the car on the ground with the wheels straight before you get it on a trailer. Fyi. Here are the pics of the setup. Doesn't necessailu require top hats...welding to the frame worked for me.

Ha! Way too much room. I put a coil spring from the 10ae bilsteins I bought between the body and the control arm. Drove like a caddy.

Then again I only needed to move it in and out of the garage.

Just stick a old shock and top hat in it. As is, you've just screwed up 4 control arms.

Wow. Surprised 2x4s would hold all that weight. Something to think about.

I didn't even bother cutting a piece to length, just started jamming stuff in from the scrap pile. No sign of splitting or buckling or anything like that. It only has to hold maybe 500-600 pounds per corner.

Probably better than Racelands.

I just grabbed half a dozen friends, paid them with donuts, and had them lift the bare chassis onto the trailer. Junkyard had a claw to pick it off the trailer.
