Question Wet/rain track tire suggestions?

Have been thinking of getting a wet set for those wet track days... tomorrow Im running at Assen, NL and will be on 12yr old Potenza S-02 Pole Position's. How nice is that?

Suggest me some wet track tires. Consider this:
- I will run R888s in dry and they dont suit me in the wet when they are worn.
- I will not run the wet set in the dry, so wear is not an issue.
- I can look at pictures myself and guestimate the best tire, so I am looking for actual track experience in this area.
- Car produces around 235rwhp, suggest me a width! 195 seems small, maybe 205 is a good wet width. 225 seems to wide to me.

I would like them to be road legal, like the dry set so I can run them at the Nürburgring during public days.

Suggestions I came up with:
- Toyo R1R
- Federal SS595
- Kumho W710

I want your life.

R1R's are supposed to be the super-time-attack wet tire of choice.

The Kumho W710's seem to be more suited towards slush autocross days. Water evacuation on them looks fantastic though.

i've heard from high horsepressure people that the RA1 is a great wet tire when its actually got tread on it.

MaX5 will probably be running R1R's next year, so that would be a nice combination actually: run them on the MaX5 and on the turbo when wet.

Too bad the Advan A032R isn't available anymore. What about the Advan Neova? Maybe not ultra-sticky...but the Dunlop Z1 are pretty fast tires with good water evacuation sipes.

205/50 Toyo RA-1. Toyo still makes it for the SM crowd.

edit: woops didn't read the whole OP.

Still, hoosier wets are ideal. Are they really going to check you at the ring?

225 is by all means not to large my freind, it is perfect for your power lvl. I have no R comp experience though so i will stay out of this these tires look promising you might consider them if they are available in your market. Hoosier Radial Wet the hoosier is dot legal man just wears fast lol.

**** why doesn't anyone ship W710's in Europe? Or Hoosier wets? Or RA-1's for that matter?

I had them in 195 and while not bad, it's not ideal rain rubber. Looking for something dedicated and T1R is just a summer street tire.

Got some Toyo R1R's to test. Initial results are OK.
