Nah, mine is just about done after I put in door bars. I just want to drive it now.

just wait a month or two. personally, im at 6th stage of my build and my current miata has been n/a, then turbo, then bigger turbo, then turbo with built motor, then stock daily driver, and now its finally a 2.0L 11:1 track/dd car. all that within a year and a half and without even seeing it for months. has been on jack stands since about 2 weeks after i got it :)

stranges12712 05-28-2009 10:04 PM

Lol maybe in 2 years or so il get bored of this and do a v8 swap who knows! Theres tons you can do to these cars, all i need is a tuner! I think im going this weekend if i get insurance tomorrow or im going to have to wait 2 weeks...but i will probably do new suspension next year, the quaife gearing, and run 30lbs of boost :D i cant wait to hit the track this year. Any ET on 21lbs of boost on a turbod 1.6L?

you could keep the wheels and stretch 195/50/15's on 'em and get flamed by everyone on here. (but they would probably clear with a little fender roll and pull)

or the better route: sell'em, buy new wheels and proper sized tires. with the right wheels/offset you can do 225/45/15's all around. or if you wanna sacrifice good handling for hot rod looks, you can do 205/50/15 frt. and 225/45/15 rear which keeps the o.d. pretty close. just get a good quality max perf. summer tire if your worried about traction. the new hankook rs3's would be a good choice and are available in those sizes.

lastly, if you have real flares (like tuckin'99) put those on, chop those f'kin fenders (who's car is it anyway?) and buy 225/45/15's all around and who cares what anybody says. if it makes you happy, that's all that matters in the end.
good luck

I think it's funny that you built this car to go fast and are looking for et's when you dynomated the "whole car". By doing this you just killed a good part of the performance that you built in to htis car.

I gues I will never understand some people. Then again I never understood drag racing.

Have a great day,
Jared

225/45/15 are what I run theyre great they look good imo make the car sit nice and handle pretty damn well.

I am stupid enough to get excited every time this fucking thread comes up. Can someone put something in the title that will clue me off not to open it, again?
