Yes. 3.75 or 4 in the front. 4 or 4.25 in the rear.

Mabe its an NA thing, or mabe you actually arent in the bump stops as much as you think you are. Your car is lighter, so take that into consideration too

Spring size has nothing to do with this
I think Aidan is mentioning spring size as a proxy for shock diameter. The Xida is not an abnormally large diameter shock body and the clearance issue you experienced isn't a problem specific to Xidas.

Edit: And it looks like two pages of posts popped without me noticing..

If you have ever done a falluja-cross at PIR you will find out real quick where your bumpstops become solid...

At this point, there is nothing we can write that will change George's mind. He got in a bit over his head, didn't check things carefully and blames the resulting damage on Supermiata. In his view, we should replace his damaged shocks for free, or maybe discounted, while admitting it's our fault. It's impossible to cover every possible interference or incompatibility when mixing various different aftermarket parts with various adjustments that change their function within a system. Engine parts mixed that don't match. Exhausts and motor mounts that don't play well together. Brakes and wheels that are enemies. The list goes on.

If he bought Ohlins from Goodwin and ELBJ from FM, he would have the exact same issue.

Bumpstops/shock length. What we have is proven to work. Does it respond to adjustments and tuning? Can some owners add a few mm thick shock packer to reduce bump travel if desired? Can they revalve? Can they change spring lengths? Yup It's a race car. Tune things. Experiment. Just don't ask Supermiata to spoon feed you every single bit of knowledge you will need to make your Miata work flawlessly. We publish tons, we share what we know. We make good parts that are exceedingly well thought out and made right. The rest is up the tuner to educate themselves as they begin tearing the car apart and doubling or tripling the power.

George,

Please post a pic of your front camber eccentrics as they are right now.

Im not accusing you of selling junk. my question is that since the shock body length is fixed, how would you keep the tire out of the fender?

Curious to know if you verified the amount of travel you have in this shock. The corkscrew at MRLS will cause interesting damage to fender wells, chassis/frame-rails when suspension is not properly setup. This set up is fascinating.

While I certainly agree with that statement in the general case, the specifics here are a bit different. It's a pair of parts that you both sell and recommend for use in combination, with a conflict between them that you acknowledge you know about and have seen before. Documenting that kind of thing in the installation notes really seems like it should be a no brainer to me.

I don't know but this looks like you may be running on bumpstops. Your frame rails must be kissing the track surface at the corkscrew.

I agree with Ian on this one, while George kinda muddied the waters a little with his bumpstop issue, it takes very little effort to give a quick, "heads up if you're running these two parts together" and it could have saved George's shocks in this case.
