So do we send you a fully running motor, or can we send a bare block and crank?

 

These packages are parts only, obviously. You buy a package, parts arrive at your house or office, you bring them to your engine builder or use them to assemble an engine yourself.

We do build complete engines as well, but not at these prices of course. Our assembled shortblocks start at $2600, and our longblocks start at $4000. We only accept full, running cores for engines that we're assembling.

 

I don't think I see any engine rebuild kits (aka: gaskets) on your site. I'm not asking you to carry them, I could see why you probably wouldn't make any profit. But is there one in particular you would recommend buying along with the bearing/ring/piston/rod packages listed above?

 

I use Mazda OEM gaskets, which are available fairly inexpensively if you have a Mazdacomp account. The only exception is for large-bore head gaskets (85.0 and 85.5mm), which I do carry.
