Default New website launch!

Our new, long overdue webstore launched late last night. It's much brighter and easier to use than our old site, which is a great thing for both you guys and me.

It's been populated with our most popular products already, but I'll be working over the next few weeks to add the rest of our catalog to it. If you used to see something on our old site, and you don't see it on the new site, let me know. Similarly, if you don't see something on our site, shoot me an email and I'll make sure you get what you're looking for.

If you see any issues, let me know - I'm sure there are a few bugs that will crop up while everything settles down.

Ahh, THAT's why I couldn't get into your website after work yesterday. New website looks a little spartan but yeah, definitely "brighter." This should make it much easier to send you more money.

Also, your website makes browsers angry when trying to use https:

That's Chrome on the left, FireFox on the right. I didin't test with IE because I assume it won't give any useful data with regard to security or privacy.

All that is saying is it is a self signed cert, so no large certificate authority like godaddy or verrisign signed it. Downside is you get those messages, upside is the NSA probably can not break it.

Right but it'll possibly weird people out, that's the only reason I brought it up.

The thing about a self-signed certificate is that, as an end-user, if you accept self-signed certs without question then you're vulnerable to a man-in-the-middle attack.

There's an argument that the centralized certification authority isn't any more secure, but it really depends on your threat model.

The site-wide SSL should be working very soon. Shopping cart had its own, but I hadn't transferred the full site certificate across. Thanks for the feedback

I fixed the "rings" link, still need to add the head gaskets. I'm sure there are plenty of those for me to seek out. Thank you

I'm also working to add USPS flat rate shipping for some of our smaller items (EGR/coolant blockoff kits, oil cooler fittings, etc). USPS, of course, makes that as difficult as possible, but it is doable. Soon

Not a bug, but a suggestion. When at a product page, it would be useful to make the header a link back to it's respective product category. For example (Products › Engine Management › Innovate LC-2 Wideband O2 Sensor), would have "Engine Management" be a link back to the Engine Management page.
