Space your wheels and raise your ride height. You've got 800lbs less stress on your hubs, so it shouldn't be a problem on a good pair.

Even if you space the rear and keep the front relatively stock, the added track will probably benefit handling, unless you're cone bending. If you autocross, forget everything I just wrote.

1.) Spacers and reduced offset are going to put the exact same load on the hubs. Think about it, you're extending the moment arm the contact patch acts on the hub face/bearings with the same amount, you're just adding a negligible amount more weight with the spacers.

2.) Mods that make the car slower
