I figured. But it is true. More then likely if you're at the back of the field then you probably just suck in comparison.

I got a screaming deal on some rims and tires.
16x7 konig's with the new redesigned azenis 205/40r16 Tires are basicly new (can still read azenis in the tread) 1500 miles two and from hallet where he switched to r comps. Decide to make it a trailer queen and sold me these for 500.

How much do the azenis suck?

Well based on the comparison posted Looks like I got the slowest of the high performance tires. I guess I will be ok with that. The rims look great and I got the whole set for what a set of tires would have costed shipped and mounted to my old paint chipping beat up AR rims. I will post up a pic of before and after later. At least I can get a set of rs3 for these rims pretty cheap when these wear out.

RS3s in that size would be much taller than stock, more than 2 inches difference in diameter. The tire selection is kind of limited in 16s. The Azenis are pretty good, much better than their old compound, they'll be great for autocross.

if you are talking about 615ks then they are better than the S drives which aren't in the same summer tire group.

With that said, they are probably the last of the autocross summer tires I would use. I didn't like the old 615s and while the new 615k fixed some of the problems with the 615s, they still don't have the outright performance that the star specs can provide.

Certainly no big deal though, at this point you will find most autocrossers are not consistent enough for it to matter. Lastly, if you got a good deal on them, then they are certainly worth it.

Ok so that would be a 1.78 inches difference from the 205/50/15 if i went with the .78 wider 225/50/16 in rs3's and .8 taller than the 205/50/16 that are on there now. I guess once I throw them on I will see what they look like. Anyone have any experence with the 225/50/16 rs3 on an NA or on the track?

Just asking I am going to stick with this for quite a while. The rims are lighter than my 17lb American racing 15's so I hope I have not increase unsprung weight but I dont know.
The rims are the konig brite lite

Just FYI:
Toyo T1Rs have a pretty bad rep over here for having a very flexy sidewall. Probably a bad choice for autocross because of that.

Yoko AD08s won a UK magazine tyre shootout a couple of years ago. The control car was a NC MX5. I still don't think they'd be as fast as some other choices available in the US for the money, but in terms of steering feel, and other wishy washy subjective stuff that you Americans don't seem to care about  they are apparently quite hard to beat.

You won't find many people using 16s here.

225/45/15 are used frequently.
