Default Massive price drop on Jongbloed wheels

We'll admit it. The Jongbloed wheels were a disappointment when they arrived. While they're strong as heck due to their flow formed construction and look good, they were heavier than we'd been quoted. This was a problem.

Thanks to the missed spec, we were able to negotiate a massive price drop. How much? Between $80-90 per wheel. Obviously, that's huge. Here's the new pricing:

15x8, 14.8 lbs: $108
15x9, 15.4 lbs: $108
15x10, 15.8 lbs (est): $139

Now they're the same price as the popular TR Motorsport C1 and C3 wheels, but they're lighter and stronger - and better looking. The main shipment should be arriving in November, but we have a limited number of silver and black 15x9 wheels in stock now.

Flyin' Miata : Chassis : Wheels

Bronze is also coming, but was not available for photos.

VERY cool.

there is now no reason to get the TR's, these are leaps and bounds better in every way and price is great.

......BTW it was a pleasure talking to you a few minutes ago

now THAT'S better.

Any other colors planned? I really would want something that's more of a charcoal or gunmetal color. Is this a limited time sort of thing or will you be carrying these wheels at this price for some time?

Bronze is coming. We'll have to find out about future orders and colors. All I can say for sure is that these prices, colors and weights apply to the shipment on the water right now.

Have you tested clearance on 11.75" big brake kits?

No, as we don't sell 11.75" brake kits and don't have any to test. There is considerable room around the front caliper on an 11" kit, though - that's what we're seeing on the silver wheel above. So I'd call it a pretty good bet.

Awesome. Don't much care about that much of a difference in weight. I'm sure my current 15x7 wheels are even heavier than this anyway. Gonna order now.

MT has gone down hill, y'all disappoint me.

Keith is an innocent bystander. But Ed? Vlad? You should know better.

What do you mean, exactly?

I've decided that I'd be willing to spend an extra $250 to get what I REALLY want.... but that I'm also willing to wait another year to do it. Hopefully 6UL's are in stock next winter.

If you want 6ULs in a rainbow of colors, we can supply those. If you want Advantis, we can supply those. Heck, I ordered some Traklites for a customer today - and THOSE come in some weird color combos. The Jongbloeds are now an excellent alternative to the TR Motorsport wheels.

Options are good.

I'm not familiar with Jongbloed so this may be silly, but I don't see the VIA or JWL marks on any of the wheels. Did these go through JWL (by VIA?) testing?

Is this going to be a limited availability at this pricing, or is this just the pricing that they will be?

I want them. Money is a little tight right now, but I'll probably end up with a set before spring hits...

Same answer as before. All I can say for sure is that these prices, colors and weights apply to the shipment on the water right now. We got some huge concessions from the manufacturer for this batch due to the 10% weight overshoot, they may not want to do another run at these prices - or maybe they'll sort out the weight. I'll have to find out.

It's a pretty big shipment.

I really admire how you handled everything with the Jongbloeds. All the way from delays to weight. You could have spun it many ways but you shot straight. Negotiating such a discount when they missed the weight mark is very impressive in my book.

The bronze you refer to, not applicable to 15x10s?

Impressed by the savings you were able to negotiate, good on ya for pushing for that.

Isnt that only a requirement if you're trying to use them in Japan?

Good work Keith. You've got the cheapest sub 16lb 15x10 on the market right now that fits these cars.

It is, but it's a very good test for overall wheel strength. They test the wheels for air pressure after impacts to the rim face as well as impacts to the tire surface.
