just thought I would let you know I rolled the fender and my 15x 8 roto grid v seem to fit fine with my 225 track tires. I'm not supper low, about 4.5" from the pinch welds. but I took some good turns and no rub. I really cant duplicate track conditions on the street but even if I need to roll a bit more these wheels will fit. I know its not the best wheel for the track but whatever I think they look cool and cant spend the money on wheels right now.

They will rub on track. I don't need photos of the car or anything other than "15x8 +0 on stock sheetmetal" to know this for a fact.

perhaps you are right, I will pull the shocks a and drop the car. the rear is the only issue. the previous owner cut the front fenders significantly to fit these wheels slammed. I jacked it up and rolled hard and went crashing over the biggest curves with bumps I could fine with painters tape on the fenders and no sign of rub.

I'm not a expert on Miata wheel fitment but if I drop the car without shocks and the wheels still clear then they will clear on the track. it is close, the lip clears for sure and I'm running very little camber in the rear. so a little more roll and a 4 degrees all around should clear.

I really cant buy new wheels, nothing is really available that I like and the tires are mounted so I want to run this for a season. I dont want fender flairs so gotta make this work.

yeah, tomorrow I'll take pictures of how it stands, and I'm going to drop the rear on some tape and see where it rubs. even if it does rub in the rear, I'm not sure it will matter, since the travel on my shocks ( stance ) is pretty limited. now this might be a issue down the road when I get some new shocks but it will address the drop. Ill talk to stance and see how much drop i can expect.

no it clears fine on the road. I tried crashing over bumpers and hard turns and it clears fine. just saying for the track perhaps might need to get more aggressive based on what others have said. its is really a track only car. right now i'm only at 2 degrees and my nto1a like about 4 so that will help a bit if i have a issue.removing the shocks and dropping the car will tell the answer.

I dont know were I got that number. went back and did some research and clearly I was wrong.

I have pictures of the wheels posted, but they were taken by the po, before I lifted it and before I rolled. I take some more pictures.


I'm not worried about the front, the previous owner cut them to fit these wheels. if I need to cut them more that is fine. they are already destroyed. I hope with an aggressive roll in the rear the tires will clear.
