Hello everyone, just rejoined the Miata scene after 3 long years and picked up an ‘04 MSM and I need help with tire sizes! Yes I know the stock wheels are boat anchors and will eventually replace them. However, I do need new tires urgently for the stock racing harts. I live in Oahu and absolutely zero places carry 205/40 R17 tires, and my Michelin pilot sports are ancient with dry rot and won’t pass a safety inspection. The tire shops do stock a 215/45 R17, will these clear without rubbing on stock suspension?

I run 205/40-17 stock sized Michelin Pilot Sport 5's, they work great.
