Tire for wet and/or cold track days
Gents,
I finally burned up my set of Conti ECS this weekend at VIR. They were made in the 24th week of 2019, and I pushed them harder than I should have. I did not bring any slicks because the temps were going down into the 20s overnight. They are (were) fantastic in the rain, the cold didn't seem to bother them, and they were pretty good in the dry if the weather cleared. I was actually on track with them at Summit Point at about 34 degrees when a light, wet snow started. Unfortunately, they are on back order for 45 days according to Discount Tire.
Is there something close in 205/50 15? I need tires for the probable nasty weather for track events at the beginning and end of the year.
Thanks,
