Depends on the model. They have great, strong, lightweight models available.

PS- You are going to get you web *** kicked on here if you dont start reading and searching before you post.

Just looking out for you.

Oh, edit- XXR wheels are heavey as ****, but great for 80 bucks a piece. So you have to give and take.

I mean I would probably see a 10hp gain if I got rid of mine LOL

xxr wheels are allright for a daily driver. i would never try running those on track though - they WILL crack/bend/separate into 10 pieces after hitting few apexi.

Uhhuh.... My xxr 512s (panasport copies) are still in one piece...

It comes down to a trade off.... I prefer cheap and disposable. I'll consider a set of emilios cheap ca st ones once out, but until then I'll continue to thrash my xxrs on track.

I used to have a 1993 civic with loads of mods I mean coilovers lowered an inch, strut bar, jdm D15b vtec engine, transmission, and ecu all swapped in, akimoto intake, dc header, buddy club spec 2 racing straight pipe exhaust deleted cat and a lot more done to it was getting ready for turbo and I had ebay rims on it 17x8's and yokohama es100's zr rated on it and I ran it hard all the time everywhere the streets the 1/8 strip and street racing (not just straight line) (yes, I used to be an idiot) and those ebay rims held up fine. So I think I'll give the cheaper XXR's a try since my beloved Miata is mostly just a daily driver that I want some more pep out of, hell I might just do wheels and tires, sways, and coilovers and just go with intake header and exhaust just for a little more zoom zoom because stock miatas seem to be great on the tracks from what I've seen on youtube and for drifting too which is what I'll mainly be learning/doing is drifting I have a little experience street drifting and I'm not just talking about a fishtail here and there.

I am negatively impressed that you owned such a high quality commuter vehicle. I bet that thing pulled all the dudes. Sounds like you were the cat's meow. I bet you even kept one hand on the top of the steering wheel when you pulled those massive powershifts after leaving Wal-Mart...you know...the pose where you're like looking down your left arm as you drive to aim where you're pointing that street-legal Tomahawk cruise missile.

Don't forget to impress your crew..

What I meant by a lot more mods was like a GT steering wheel, sparco seats w/4 piont harness, custom interior, custom gauges, tinted windows, and a lot of little stuff I didn't say it was that fast it was just heavily abused on ebay rims was the point I was trying to make.

Call it what you want, but it was my first car and it was my baby until I wrecked it and sold it for $1,000 to some beaners that slammed it to the ground and fucked it up even worse. I still miss it haha it may have been a piece of **** but that was MY piece of **** and always has a special place in my heart.
