Default 16" lightweight wheels

So I scored an awshum deal on some rubber thanks to a tip from cueball.

I needed tires anyways...and was tired of my choices in 14" anyhow. I wanted to go to 15"...but the size on 65% discount were 215/45-16s. I could not pass up on ultra high performance summer rubber at a price that leaves me enough to upgrade wheels as well. 185 section width traction just hasn't been cutting it.

Don't care about finish...not picky on style.

Main thing is lightweight..and cheap if possible.

Weight and fitment number one. Decent offset for whatever width. I can probably put these on a 16x7...but they'd work best on a 16x8.

Thanks,

Damon

A 16 inch wheel is neither of these. Best I could find is $120/ wheel for 16x7's (TRmotorsports).

Check out honda tech. They run very similiar offsets and they are 16in crazy! I just scored a set of Racing hart CP35s not to long ago, an 11 lbs forged 16.

I have these:

They are rattle canned them bronze. They used to be this color:

They are 16x7 off a mini cooper S. No Idea on exact weight but they are WAY lighter than other 16's ive lifted. Not a lot heavier from my stockers either. Just got new rims and planning on keeping these as a spare but if you want em I'll let em go super cheap. PM me if you have interest.

I knew I recognized those wheels from somewhere. I used to have an 06 MCS. I think they are about 13-14lbs each.

Yeah, I know...but I mean the best I can get with emphasis on those two categories.

I mainly needed more tire...and this was the best way to do it within my budget. I gave up on chasing the holy grail of suspension setups a while back. Just needs to be street fast.

EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Sad thing is I missed out on a great low-priced set a month or so back. Never thought I could afford 16" tires...

CL has been the ***** recently. Nothing but over priced crap and bad deals. I had one guy tell me "just let me know if you want them..it's too much drama" after I asked him to measure the tread depth with a penny. I did this because I had just driven 2hrs outta my way to the very same town the day before for another set of wheels with "new" tires that were 1/32" off the wear bars. Same guy had an add that said "no boy racers" or something to the effect.

I'll either pick up that nice set off 18psi or call Goodwin for some Heliums.

You don't think the 215 section width is too much for most stock wheels?

I'm seriously looking at SSR 16x8s.

talking to that guy ^^^ right now...almost bought some 15" wheels from him last week.

He never replies unless you specifically say "on the way with cash" though.

EDIT: I'm pretty tired of craigslist characters right now. Still looking for local deals...but wheels and stereo equipment bring out the shady, inexperienced and flaky buyers/sellers it seems.

Ugly wheels but cheap if he's willing to ship. And 7.5" width.

Those are garbage btw. There was a guy selling a ton of these (that's local). He bough them to make money off and had like 100 sets. Didn't do so well and kept bumping them for like a year. Don't know what happened but eventually he stopped selling them.

I actually checked em out cause I wanted them for my miata. They look worse in person. They also weigh a ton. He was willing to let em go for 400 with brand new tires.
Now this joker bought them from him and is trying to get rid of em FOR MORE?? After he USED THEM? LOL

That's too bad...I really like my Pro Race One's. They look great in my office.

Checked the SR20forum.com classifieds, nothing of interest there.

I think that is out of his price range, hence him trying to find local deals on CL.

Very nice...but more than twice my price range.

I'm glad I jumped on the tires now...I'm really going to enjoy turning what is now tirespin into forward acceleration.

I'm working on one of the local deals for some Konig Feathers. Trying to get the guy to come down a little...and make sure they aren't knock-offs.
