(...and by "famous" I mean "hordes of people very nearly numbering in the double digits may have heard of us")

Remember when we (Eyesore FrankenMiata) raced in the 24 Hours of LeMons at Thunderhill last December? No? Well, before, during and after the race, the engine was making horrible death rattle noises and gradually relocating itself to inside the oil filter. Somehow we managed a 4th place finish out of a field of... uh... 80something cars?

In the intervening months our engine somehow hasn't miraculously healed itself. Go figure. In fact, it's now worse. More rattly death noises. More metal in the filter. Hey, that means more lightness!

I think you know where this is going. Our next race is in May... got an engine? We think we need a 1.6 longblock, but we may just need a shortblock. What you got in the SoCal area?

I can't guarantee much payment (this is LeMons, after all...) but let's talk.

 

It was 100 cars. 101 if you count the Yugo that started 10 hours late, raced for 30 minutes, and then rolled...

Oh, and we had the second-fastest lap of the race. Go Miatas! (our car is plural, since it's made from 7 Miatas and a Dodge)

We're in Los Angeles and compete in any Lemons race we can reasonably drive to. Next race is in Reno.
