I had (have?) a 3.6 Torsen 2 that I received from the UK and it had been having problems since the beginning until it finally grenaded. I didn't realize it was the diff until now, just that I had looseness in my drivetrain. The fluid came out with a nice glitter effect and now I need a new one.

Anyway, I'm in need of a good 3.6 LSD. OS Giken would be preferable, but I'll take a Torsen 2. I want a known good one and not something pulled from a junkyard if possible.

 

It might be cheaper and easier to source another UK one and rebuild/have it rebuilt. That way you know exactly what you have. I had a similar experience but was able to rebuild it and set everything to spec. Good luck.

Right now I have a 4.1 open diff in the car, and I might try and just build the diff I want by getting a 3.6 ring and pinion and the OS Giken diff. In the meantime, it looks like I'm just going to keep an eye out for something. I may pull the trigger on another UK salvage one, or I may not.
