Default WTB: battery tie down

im in need of a complete battery tie down set.

battery tray, the piece that goes over the battery, and the j hook. the nut on top isnt needed but if you have it that would save me a good 30 mins of searching for a matching one in my bucket of extras lol

I should have all of those. You don't need the bracket that screws to the trunk floor?
Will check tonight.

step 1. drill two holes in the trunk on either side of your battery
step 2. ziptie your battery in

I drove with a ghetto-rigged tie-down for a while. One beautiful day the battery decided it had enough and under hard braking jammed the positive terminal against the trunk hinge. Engine fire ensured. Luckily just burned some wiring, nothing major.

Fun times.

Obviously you've never been to a track in FL.

Yup. I've teched cars and been in charge of tech at events for over 10 years now. Battery mounts are a very common issue. Crummy mounts on street Miatas lead to ugly pimple dents (outies not innies) in the nearby fender too.

I've got these. I tell people they're a side-effect of all the roids my car takes.
