Tough it out, you only have about a month and a half to go. Too bad you didn't ask a month ago I could have dropped one off, instead its sitting in a landfill somewhere because it was taking up too much space in my garage =(

 

I have one out of a '99 in great shape and has the drier thing on it too. If you want it let me know. I know fitment may not go well. Just pay the shipping. I'll send you the receipt and ship it in my FM rad box.

I've got one from my '96 M Edition parts car. If it fits, you can have it for a few bucks plus shipping.

You win. 96 is a NA 134a condenser.

 

i looked up part numbers, it was all the same but thanks for the confirmation, DJ Robby Rob.

 

Prove me wrong when you get and shoot a picture of it next to your original. What I believe you see in the #s is a part replacing the earlier one. IOW you can't buy a new R12 condenser. What you're getting is a condenser designed for 134a which should it improve your cooling. It should look visibly different - more "tubes".

 

if it bolts in, whatever, if not i lost monies.

edit: oh i see what you're saying. the tube density/core is designed a bit differently, but should improve efficency when I run it on my r12 system?

Just FYI, you strictly need a 90-93 unit. 94-97 won't fit, unless you change ALL of the lines, besides the small amount behind the firewall. It is worth it to go to the 134a condensor. I did it myself.

 

BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. are the fittings different on the core to the lines?
