Default WTB: Coil on Plug Bracket for 1.8

I don't have the tools available anymore to build a bracket for my COPs so I'd like to buy one from someone else.

Have a 1.8 with Protege valve cover and the Toyota Corolla COPs with offset mounting tab. Lemme know what you've got!

you could build one with scissors and sheet metal. it couldn't be easier.

hey dan, the protege cover is a lil different so what might fit our stock 94 cover won't fit the protege cover.

true, i figured they should at least have the plug holes spaced the same and width shoud be very close
i figure this much since they are interchangable and people do put them on miatas often
i think a picture of a protege cover would help me understand the difference better, same goes for an escort cover i guess

obviously the plug holes and 3 bolts that hold the valve cover will be identical. use 1.5" wide aluminum 1/8" thick. if you make it to go end to end on the 94 valve cover he'll just have to cut the front short as the Protege valve cover raises up sooner.

pics for reference

I made the mistake of having my girlfriend measuer the coils at home when i was at Home Depot so I ended up buying a holesaw that was a lil bigger than perfect(1.25") I'd go with 1" or 1.125".

Sounds good, I'm using the same COPs as you with the offset tab. As long as it fits and looks presentable.. I'm all for it.

I'm going to powder coat it, so don't worry about the finish like paint or anything. Got that end covered!

Not in a *huge* hurry, just as soon as possible. The coils are still keeping me from tuning and driving my car, but I'm still not done with the harness yet. Have all the pigtails built, just need to figure out a good way to secure 5 14 gauge wires together and such.

Also, for a bracket like that, use 3 longer than stock bolts for the valve cover (by whatever the thickness of your plate is). Otherwise the stock bolts might grab few threads but those threads will get stripped over time.

Haha.. Yeah I sleep, just very very little. I hate my job and don't really care how much sleep I get, so I normally operate on around 4.5 hours of sleep. Just quit that job today so I've got a short vacation now and will be on to better things!

Bitchin on finishing it this weekend, that rocks! Now I Just need to get my *** in gear to finish the harness.
