Default WTB: worn out 99-00 engine for rebuild

Preferably somewhere within a few hours of Tulsa.

I could pay shipping if the engine is cheap enough.

I have a 99 head that I will let go for pretty cheap.

If no one here on MT has anything for you, try car-part.com

What's cheap? And is it complete?

I've been watching Car-part for months, in my state, only VVT engines are available. Not interested in those since I will likely build an Exocet at some point and the hood doesn't clear the VVT solenoid.

Well, BP6D (01/05) bottom end and a BP4W (99/00) head will give you 10:1 comp ratio, and if this is not a forced induction build, the 10:1 will definitely be your friend. Buy a low mile BP6D and then sell or offer to trade off the head for a good BP4W head. If I didn't already have an extra compete BP4W engine AND an extra BP6D head in the garage, that's a trade I'd consider.

I know about the diff comp ratios.

My plan is overbore, 11:1 pistons, rods, big cams etc. Part of why I'm not concerned with a VVT engine.
