you would think so but was strange it would start to go lean and as in lean I mean we are targeting 10.8 in boost with the methanol and it would be 10.5 then it would hit 11.2-11.4 for a second then it would go back to 10.8 then above 5800 rpm it would creep lean slowly. It was very very strange.

Here are a few pics of the new regulator and the new fuel filter and pump location. The fuel line is 6an out of the tank to the filter and out of the pump all the way to the rail. There is an intank walbro 255 witch feeds the bosch 044. The setup seems to work good and all fits under the factory metal cover just need to dyna mat it because this pump is loud!!

Goes thru the floor and connects to the 6an hardline under the car

The 2j already had a return system on it so just converted it to an line

I'm sure you've thought about it and it's probably fine but I'd never run fuel lines or a pump in the cabin.

You are correct I am not a fan of mounting a pump or lines inside the car there is a cover panel that goes over it so it is not fully exposed and the mounting options under the car were less than desirable.

Ok here is the update. The car is running great but some changes are about to happen. For starters I took the car out on thursday it was raining earlier in the day and the roads were still damp. I got a video but its is just spin city so I called it a night.

I really wanted to get a good run or two in to get a good base line of how the car is running. I use my buddies C6 vette as my base line lol. The car goes 12.4 in the quarter. Its a C6 intake full exhaust with long tubes and a tune nothing fancy but it is a very good judgement for me. I am uploading the video of that as I type this it will be a while since the internet at my house sucks.

I also picked up a nice red hood from Brain friday. Thank you Brain!!!! Good news is I destroyed a very nice hood lol. Other good news is the hole I had to cut in the hood is much smaller than I originally thought it would be. In the process of seeing how the hood fit I decided to change a few things. I have a AIT gauge I need to install as well as a second methanol nozzle so I needed to work on my charge pipe. I removed the whole charge pipe to make the pipe fit the car and not the hood fit the pipe. I will be V banding the charge pipe to the throttle body as well as the turbo it will eliminate my need for a charge pipe brace. I will also be changing to 3" aluminum piping. I also have a new set of valve covers to install the GTE ones they just look nicer so I will be redoing my breather setup. I will be powder coating the valve covers, intake pipe and compressor housing wrinkle black. I will keep you all updated as I go should be about two weeks to get most of this stuff done. Here is my hood at the moment the trimming is not done yet and not sure if I am going to do a scoop or not yet.

You should really reconsider how you have that mounted. The panel that separates you from the pump is not sealed enough for it to be safe.

I had a pretty good sized external pump years ago when I was running nitrous. I mounted it where the factory fuel filter is located. It takes some creative plumbing, but please consider moving it. It is not worth taking that kind of risk.

Forgive me for the obnoxious lecture.

You could totally fit a cowl over that.

I am undecided on what to do with the hood at this point trim it out nice and just leave it run a cowl or make a power bulge I have not idea for the moment it will get trimmed out nice and just be left alone until I can find a nice way to cover it up. I am going to contact a freind of mine to see if his dad will hammer me out a nice bulge but chances are slim we will see.

Need some input on charge piping. Now that I have a hood I am going to remake my charge piping to fit better. I have been throwing around the idea of V banding it to the turbo and throttle body. Remember I do not run an intercooler and the engine is solid mounted.

upgrades that will come with new charge pipe.

Use aluminum pipe because its the right thing to do.
Use 3" pipe for more flow
install IAT for ECU install IAT's pre and post methanol for gauge
Install two methanol nozzels for more meth!!!

Vband on either end or couplers with clamps. I would use wiggins clamps but I refuse to spend $115 per each.

So as things would have it the car is back in the garage. I took it apart to do a few things to it and of course it got a little out of control as normal.lol I wanted to redo the charge piping, add a second methanol nozzle, and add the bungs for my IAT gauge, and install a set of GTE valve covers I got just because they look better.

Got the valve covers mounted to check and see how the breather lines will run and started to mock up the charge piping when it all went crazy. Needless to say the turbo is now facing forward like it should and I have some more work to do. Got my new 4" exhaust installed yes it is coming thru the hood. I hope that when the methanol is spraying it shoots a constant blue flame that would be awesome. Also got 3" aluminum piping for charge pipes that will be V banded at the throttle body and at the turbo. I need to order a tight radius bend at the turbo and notch the frame some more. Made the new return line the old feed worked fine just wiggled it a bit. I will update more as things move along.

I also started to install my rear diffuser and as things would go that went crazy I am in the process of removing the rear bumper support so I can cut most of it off and notch the bumper far enough to make it fit like I want. I will post some pics when I get there.

I hope everyone had a great christmas here is a teaser pic for you all.

You seem to have a leak between the turbo and the intake manifold.

I have to say I like this setup more and more every time I walk out in my garage.
I can also say this car is getting put together and will be set to 20-22psi and left alone. I want to semi take a break from it next year and try to enjoy it. Also I finally decided on a color I am going to paint the car white. No fancy pearls or any of that just white with the black hardtop.

You all will be happy to know I got a new camera over the holidays a Nikon D3200 so I can actually take some real pics!!!!

Here is a quick rundown of what is going to be done over the next few weeks.

Gte valve covers (powder coat white)
New breather setup
turbo facing forward
4" exhaust thru the hood I am hoping while methanol is spraying in boost it will light the candle that would be awesome
3" Vbanded charge pipe
Tial Q bov
I installed a real HKS 50mm gate
some new lines that need to be run
white paint on exterior

That about sums it up for the moment. Here are some pics for you all to enjoy.
