Can you really not buy a replacement VC? I know you have things welded onto yours, but that can be redone. Do you really want your timing belt exposed that much.

The Toda gears that FM have now are available in both forms (with and without nubs), just compare the pics with what you have

1) run your choice of trigger wheel - 4T, 12-1T, 36-1T
2) cut one tab off the CAS - so it sends ONE pulse per camshaft revolution (normally it sends two pulses - long one and short one, 180* apart)
3) run 1 wire from CAS for cam signal, run 1 wire from crank sensor for crank signal

If the CMP tooth were to cross that it's have to be over 180deg in duration, (2 crank revs per 1 cam rev). Even the long pulse isn't that long, so you don't need to worry.

I was under the impression the CMP tooth needed to fall between tooth #2 and tooth #3 on my special "Hellow Kitty" CKP set-up. Can it fall somewhere else and still work properly?
