that was something I considered since the stock turbo never let me get any traction in 1st or 2nd and sometimes 3rd. I love it the way it is. It makes it alot more drivable for my taste and 3rd gear and up is where it really starts to get fun

So fast forward and boy what a fun time ive had with my intake manifold project. I took it to get the flange welded on. After I picked it up and tried putting it on the car I realized two problems.
1. The NA flange doesnt match up to the NB head as it leaves part of the ports on the head exposed.
2. This manifold is too long for my ABS equiped MSM.
So I call the welder back up and I now all of a sudden cant get him on the phone anymore nor can I seem to get him at his shop so I open up the phone book and find someone local to my job. I go to see him and discuss what I want done. Cut my flange off of my MSM mani and then weld it onto the blox mani after cutting off the NA flange. I even marked the manifold at the angle I needed so it woould fit right.
He calls me 3 days later and my manifold is ready. The welds were so horrid, and the runners were way off with the flange but thats normal considering I lost about and inch after he cut off the old flange. Whatever, its done and im gonna go install it.
As im put it on I realized hey, this doesnt look right. The guy cut the angle in the opposite direction I marked. So now my manifold is all the way down, almost behind my radiator where I cant fit and means of a hose to go to my intercooler. At this point im absolutely furious. Right then, I get a call from the other welder that disapeared. He appologizes for not being around and then tells me hell fix the other guys mess.
I take it to him and then a day later I pick it up. IT LOOKS NASTY. He cut the runners in order to get the right angle on instead of just cutting the flange off and re welding it. so now my manifold at lease fits right but the runners are a helluva alot shorter now so now I just cant wait to see how much low end Ive lost. I should hopefully have it on the road tonight
