My next car to sale thread
#347
I drive it about once a week, it's been to CMP and VIR and it's a blast.
I've added Monoflexes and hood pins since I got it, and changed out the badging, side skirts, and wheels. Did some brake upgrades too, everything short of a BBK.
Lost a bit of weight too, took out the engine cover (unnecessary dead weight) and use a 6 lb battery.

Fired it up tonight for the first time with this engine/drivetrain in it. Have to install an interior - but that is about it.

Really want to see some **** revived from the dead?
I bought the intake manifold and built motor and stored it for a little over a year and a half while I sorted out the wiring and logistics of my swap and wiring harness from scratch. First motor came to an untimely end because I lost a water pump belt and over heated it extremely (past 120C) and the second motor over boosted to like 1.8bar and blew the headgasket/rings. After finally having a handle on everything ( I think) I decided it was time for the built motor. On a stock block I made roughly 375whp/300ftlbs at 1.6bar and this motor will see between 1.6 and 1.8bar with the same turbo and in the fall I'll upgrade and downsize to a T3 GTX2871.
Enough of that, anyways Here's how the new built motor sits in the car:
