Yup plus it devalues your image having not so perfect product out in the market. What if someone saw the frame without finding out the back story?

Same reason I don't sell damaged or old bread. And no, I don't throw it away. The women's shelter or homeless shelter gets it.

DOUBTFUL

What's wrong is that's basically a perfectly good frame that is going to get scrapped for BS tax reasons. Government make believe that cause REAL things to get destroyed for no good reason.

"We" had to crush two perfectly good race cars for similar tax law foo foo a couple years back.

Hah, where did you guys get the idea it was going to get scrapped? Don't worry, seems like everyone is begging for a piece of that frame...

The damage wasn't structural, it just scratched the powdercoat on top and dented a tube that gets covered by the rear tank cover anyways. Don't worry, we'll make sure it goes to a nice home.

I still haven seen photos and going off what was described over the phone. Should build a WRL car out of it as it's. I would buy in a seat for that.

UPS Just messed mine up too! Not as bad, but after reading this thread, I inspected it before it left the truck:

If it were on a lower tube, I would have probably accepted it, but not where I have to see it getting in/out.

I guess we found out what Brown could do for us.

These recent damages are utterly ridiculous. Do they have lemmings driving the forklifts?

I'm sure they're laughing at us too though.

"How hard can it be to transport a giant car chassis barely wrapped in a layer of plastic across the country?!"

The answer is yes.

I have given up hope in any of our postal services long ago - pack well and insure for a VERY large amount.

Just place some 2x4's on top of the frame and band them in place to act as a sacrificial element. Problem solved.

We are working with Hanchey Vehicle Tech to get the most out of the frame.

Yes there is currently a MP62 in the build but will be switching to a build VVT or k20/24 once we figure out power to weight and points for TT classing. Current goal is TT3 with over head in the motor to bump up easily.

Update

Car is here

Stuck with a stock miata motor that I had my mp62 on do to the cost and how much extra time it would take to get, install, brake, figure out a K swap.

Once you get it in the air could you take some pictures of the underside. Which stock exhaust do you use, a NA or NB?

Stock exhaust? Like any self respecting homo car driver has a stock exhaust.

I have a RB header and a custom made ArTech midpipe back. Will likely take the car back to ArTech and have him make the axle back part fit under the exocet rear deck better as the rear of the car is about a ft shorter. For now it will be a open mid pipe till I can get it over to him.

What exactly are you looking for on the underside?

Where the mounting points for exhausts are, and general late out. Basically I am trying to figure out if my turbo exhausts will bolt right up, or if I will have to modify them to fit an exocet.

Unless things have changed, there are no exhaust mount points on the Exocet chassis. All you have are the hangers that are attached to the rear subframe.
