Only Police should own guns.

Faith Ekakitie of Iowa Hawkeyes says he was held at gunpoint after being misidentified as bank robber

Iowa defensive lineman Faith Ekakitie wrote that he "feared for my life" when stopped by police in a park Wednesday while playing the popular mobile game "Pokemon Go" in a case of mistaken identity.

Ekakitie wrote in a Facebook post that approximately five Iowa City police officers stopped him and four guns were pointed at him as police searched for a suspect who had robbed a nearby bank 10 minutes earlier.
It's really gotta suck being black when people with low IQ and guns are out running around.

Only police should be scared.

No Charges for Cops Who 'Accidentally' Fired 107 Bullets at an Innocent Mom and Daughter

Exposing the double standard between police and civilians, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday that no criminal charges will be filed against the eight LAPD officers responsible for nearly killing an innocent woman and her daughter. Although the cops ambushed the unarmed women without warning and fired over 100 bullets without provocation, the district attorney justified the case of mistaken identity due to the fact that the officers involved were afraid and incompetent.

...

After firing 107 bullets at the innocent women, the LAPD cops ordered them out of the vehicle and immediately realized their mistake. Instead of a 33-year-old black man, two Hispanic women exited the pickup truck and demanded to know, “Why did you shoot at us?”

Instead of rendering first aid or even apologizing for the act of attempted murder, the officers called for paramedics while refusing to offer any explanation for the ambush. Awakened by the gunfire, residents emerged from their homes to find their vehicles, houses, and front doors riddled with bullets. With five bullet holes in the entryway to his house, one neighbor asked, “How do you mistake two Hispanic women, one who is 71, for a large black male?”

...

On Wednesday, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced that LAPD officers Jess Faber, Marlon Franco, Sergio Gramajo, John Hart, Geoff Lear, Deshon Parker, Jonathan Roman, and Sgt. John Valdez would not face charges for the attempted murders of Carranza and her mother. Due to the fact that the entire police department was scared of one man and could not be held accountable for their incompetent actions, none of the officers who fired 107 bullets at two unarmed, innocent women will face prosecution. Although the women received a $4.2 million settlement and a new pickup truck, no cop will be held accountable for firing the first shot or failing to correctly identify the make/model of the vehicle along with the race and gender of its occupants.

Only police should be reality stars.

Cop Who Shot and Killed 7-Year-Old Girl While Filming a Reality Show is a Police Officer Again

Officer Joseph Weekley had not been on the force since 2010 when he shot a sleeping child in the head during a botched raid executed on the wrong home.

The raid was being filmed for an episode of The First 48, and many believe the excessive tactics used were employed simply to create drama and excitement for the camera. Unfortunately, a beautiful little girl, Aiyana Stanley-Jones, 7, lost her life because of his reckless and violent actions.

Officer Weekely has now been reinstated to the force, according to Detroit Police Chief James Craig. As part of the department’s integration program, Weekely will return to the department in a non-field position, but the chief has allowed for the possibility for him to eventually go back into the field, stating, “It’s tragic what happened to Aiyana, it’s tragic. Sometimes, we’re in a high-risk occupation, mistakes happen, and sometimes those mistakes result in tragedies, but we move on from that.”

Former Chattanooga doctor will move back to India to avoid prison | Times Free Press

A former Chattanooga doctor charged with trying to sleep with children will not go to prison.

In a deal worked out last month between defense attorneys and prosecutors, Vikul Vinobhai Patel agreed to move back to India. In exchange, Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Assistant District Attorney Chris Arnt agreed not to prosecute Patel.

Patel was arrested in September 2012 on two counts of attempted aggravated child molestation, two counts of attempted child molestation and two counts of violating Georgia's computer pornography law. According to a police report, Patel told investigators he drove from Chattanooga to Rossville because he thought he could have sex with an 11-year-old and a 14-year-old.

Video of Austin police Tazing James Sizer on March 6, 2015 after he told them he was disabled and could not "get down" on the ground as requested. He drops like a stone, hit his head on the concrete, and later died of the resultant injuries. A grand jury declined to indict the officers involved but his family has sued the city of Austin. Sizer was a retired 20-year Air Force veteran.

only police should have the power to relate against criticism.

Man charged with ?hate crime? after threatening Tacoma cop | The News Tribune

The decision to charge Mark Tolson, 55, with malicious harassment, the state’s hate crime, stems in part from the national atmosphere after the recent killings of police officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge.

Mark Tolson KIRO-TV Courtesy“Protecting the public includes protecting our officers,” Prosecutor Mark Lindquist said in a statement. “The officer took the defendant’s threats seriously because of recent events and so do we.”

Lindquist said he can’t remember another local case in which a police officer was a victim of a hate crime.

Police said Tolson made the threat while being booked after his arrest for domestic violence against an ex-girlfriend.

As police prepared to book Tolson into the Pierce County Jail, he told an officer the four Lakewood police officers who were gunned down in 2009 “got what they deserved.”

He also said that when he got out of jail he would make the officer “like them,” according to court records.

Tolson also told the officer, one of those who transported him from the scene to jail, he “was a racist white cop.”

...

The officer who was threatened said in a police report that he took the threat seriously.

“Due to the recent and increasing national threats and attacks on police officers, I perceived this threat to be viable due to Tolson's violent criminal history and his clearly expressed racial hatred for myself and white police officers,” the officer wrote.

The News Tribune is not naming the officer because the newspaper does not generally name victims of crimes.

Tolson was charged Wednesday with felony harassment in the domestic violence incident and with malicious harassment for allegedly threatening the officer.

Bail was set at $80,000 after he pleaded not guilty to both counts.

Records show this is the first time he has been charged with a crime in Pierce County.

Video shows moments before North Miami Police shot unarmed man ? WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports | Fort Lauderdale

Cell Video of North Miami Police Officer Involved Shot - YouTube

Future prediction: This officer will get a paid vacation, then a promotion to Sgt. Slaughter after his dog-and-pony-show of a grand jury trial proves he acted with bravery and valor and everyone in the jury is left with tears in their eyes.

And you wanna know why they shot the black guy and not the crazy kid? Because the black guy was black, and they mistook the mental patient for one of their own low-IQ men-in-blue who they assumed was being attacked by a scary black guy.
UPDATE: Scared little baby cop sad that people think he's a scared little baby cop.

Miami cop in Kinsey shooting follows standard procedure by changing his story

The unidentified officer, described as a 30-year-old Hispanic, was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation. He could face charges depending on the outcome.

"I took this job to save lives and help people," the officer said in a statement Thursday released by the union. "I did what I had to do in a split second to accomplish that and hate to hear others paint me as something I'm not."

Only police should taser first and ask questions later.

Too bad he had to stop covering his camera when he violated policy/law to "gain compliance" on someone he shot before giving an order to.

When the man’s friends questioned why he would taser him, Blytheville police officer Stephen Sigman said, “cause I said he was under arrest and he kept walking.

He then looked down at Chardrick Mitchell, who was laying on the ground with taser prongs in his back, and said, “I said you’re under arrest, it’s all on video.

But his body cam footage shows that Sigman said, “hey, turn around,” as Mitchell was walking away.

He then tasered him, then said, “you’re under arrest.”

...

Mitchell was charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice.

Those charges are still pending, but he has already filed a lawsuit against the Blytheville Police Department, according to Arkansas Online.

this is exactly why cops get to review videos before making statements...

§ 5-73-133 - Possession of a taser stun gun.

(c) Any law enforcement officer using a taser stun gun shall be properly trained in the use of the taser stun gun and informed of any danger or risk of serious harm and injury that may be caused by the use of the taser stun gun on a person.
Free pass law. So long as police know what they are doing WILL case serious bodily harm, they can do whatever they want with a taser.

only cops should murder children.

DA: No charges for Rome cop whose son died after being left in a

A Rome Police officer whose son died after being left in a car for a day, will not face any criminal charges, the Oneida County District Attorney’s office announced on Tuesday.

The DA’s office says the officer learned that he had accidentally left the child in the car when his wife called to say he hadn’t been dropped off at a day-care provider.

When the officer found the child’s lifeless body in the car seat, the DA’s office says he relentlessly tried to resuscitate him.

An examination revealed that the child died of hypothermia.

only police should paid vacation.

Lottery-winning dirty Peel cop who ?turned his back on the law? terminated

A veteran Peel Regional Police officer convicted of more than 40 charges of fraud, breach of trust and obstructing justice in relation to a series of staged and bogus car crashes, has been dismissed from the force.

Const. Carlton Watson, 51, a 23-year veteran of the force, was ordered "dismissed immediately" at a July 7 disciplinary hearing after he was found guilty of misconduct (discreditable conduct) under the Police Services Act by Supt. Manny Rodrigues.

Watson didn't receive a severance package or a buyout and is no longer a police officer, Peel police spokesperson Sgt. Josh Colley confirmed.

...

Watson was found guilty of multiple counts of fraud, obstructing justice, uttering forged documents and breach of trust, in connection with the nine insurance claims dating back to 2010.

"Const. Watson was a public officer. The fraud was clearly in the course of his public duty, and he intended to commit fraud in the course of his public duty," Sproat said.

Watson had been on paid suspension for nearly five years after his arrest and was paid more than $500,000 in salary since he was charged, court heard. Following the jail sentence last summer, Peel police announced his status had been changed to suspension without pay, and his dismissal would be pursued.

Also arrested in connection with the insurance scam is tow truck driver Wayne Isaacs, 50, of Brampton. He was charged with defrauding the public and his case is scheduled to go to trial in the fall.

Watson won $275,000 in the March 12, 2012, Daily Keno draw.

Only Police should own guns.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...trial-virginia

A Virginia police officer who will stand trial for murder this week told a witness “this is my second one” after shooting dead an unarmed black 18-year-old, a court heard on Tuesday.

Stephen Rankin, who had killed another unarmed man four years earlier, was recorded by his Taser’s camera making the remark to a Walmart staff member seconds after killing William Chapman in the store’s parking lot in the city of Portsmouth in April last year.

At a final pretrial hearing on Tuesday, Rankin’s defense team argued unsuccessfully that the comment should be censored during his trial for first-degree murder at Portsmouth circuit court. “This statement is not probative of anything,” said James Broccoletti, his lead attorney.

But their motion was denied by judge Johnny E Morrison after prosecutors argued that they should not have to “sanitize the evidence” around the deadly shooting.

“The defendant made the comment not just in the presence and earshot of a witness, but to the witness,” said Stephanie Morales, the commonwealth’s attorney, who is leading the case against Rankin.

The judge’s ruling raised the prospect that Rankin’s previous use of deadly force would at least be hinted at to the jury that must consider whether he acted with justification in shooting Chapman.

$20 says the cook never said this:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/local...c39_story.html

An Alexandria police officer was denied service Monday evening at a local Noodles & Company, according to the department.

Crystal Nosal, a spokeswoman for the department, said the female officer in uniform went into the Duke Street location of the chain restaurant for dinner and stood in line behind a family. A female cook came out from the back of the restaurant and told the cashier, “‘You better pull me off the line, because I’m not cooking for,” then gestured at the officer, according to Nosal.

Nosal said the cashier looked confused before spotting the officer and laughing. The officer then said, according to Nosal, “I guess you don’t want my money,” and left.
