Third dead dog found in home of former Georgia officer - NY Daily News

A former Georgia school police officer, already accused of killing a K-9 by leaving it to die in a hot car and fatally shooting another dog, now has to answer for a third pooch found dead in his home, forensic veterinarians revealed.

Officials believe the third dog, a 10-year-old Belgian Malinois, is the grandmother of Inca, the K-9 Daniel Peabody allegedly killed by heatstroke after trapping him in a car on a 90-degree day in June.

The Cherokee County Marshal’s Office said the third dog was likely killed by a gunshot, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

The NYPD Just Admitted That It Issued Millions in Illegal Citations | Village Voice

The NYPD has issued illegal parking summonses to thousands of New Yorkers over the past seven years, the department admitted on Friday, extracting as much as $12 million from drivers who had broken no laws, mostly in lower-income neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Queens.

The $165 tickets were handed out to drivers who parked in front of pedestrian ramps at “T” intersections, a practice that has been perfectly legal since a rule change in 2009 designed to improve pedestrian safety and open up more parking.

Why are cops so scared that they need to run around will loaded weapons and commit senseless murders? and why do we commission them to do so? and why aren't liberals trying to disarm them?

This cop pulled over this guy for a missing brake light, guy tells cop he has a gun in the car (legal CCW). Cop asks him for license, then shoots him (4) times while he's obeying orders and distracted so he's unable to defend himself from armed criminals.

Falcon Heights shooting: Woman livestreams aftermath - CNN.com

video taken right after he was shot and killed:

now by contrast, watch how cops react and respond to shooting a fellow officer:

sympathy and immediate emergency services. Notice they didn't just sit there and watch him bleed out without trying to rescue him first. They still murdered him for no reason because they don't have function brains with simple reasoning skills past a 2yo; but we're the ones the gave them weapons and taught them to shoot and kill, ask questions later, and instilled onto them that everyone is out to kill them first.

Police: 3 officers killed during Dallas protests - Story | WFLD

DALLAS (AP) - The Dallas police chief says it appears two snipers shot 10 police officers during protests, and three of the officers are dead.

Police Chief David O. Brown said in a statement that three of the officers who were injured are in critical condition Thursday night. He says the snipers shot from "elevated positions" during a protest over two recent fatal police shootings.

The gunfire broke out around 8:45 p.m. Thursday. Live TV video showed protesters marching along a street in downtown when the shots erupted and the crowd scattered, seeking cover.

"We have investigated ourselves and conclude that ordering an unarmed man to lay on the ground, shooting him, then waiting 8 seconds to open fire on him again is official procedure. Therefore no charges will be filed against the murders."

FBI investigating after cellphone video shows police fatally shooting unarmed man in Fresno - LA Times

The shooting, which occurred last month but generated debate this week after the video was made public, is the latest in a series of police use-of-force incidents caught on tape.

The video shows Dylan Noble lying on the ground on June 25 as two officers with their guns drawn stand feet away from him. As officers yell “Keep your hands up” and other commands, one shot is fired. Seconds later, a third officer approaches the pair, and another shot rings out. At one point during the video, Noble can be seen raising his arm and saying, “I’ve been shot.”

The witness video does not show the moments just before the fatal shooting. Two shots already had been fired at Noble before the recording began.

Police Chief Jerry Dyer told The Times on Thursday that Noble twice raised his shirt with his left hand and used his right hand to reach under his shirt into his waistband. The officers, he said, feared for their lives.

Officers warned Noble not to reach into his waistband because they believed he was trying to retrieve a firearm, Dyer said.

That’s when an officer fired two shots with his handgun. Those shots, he said, are not depicted in the witness video. The officer then fired another shot. A second officer delivered the fourth and final shot, one round from a shotgun.

The video, Dyer said, doesn’t tell the whole story of the shooting, which lasted about 2 minutes and 20 seconds. It wasoriginally posted Wednesday by the Fresno Bee.

The officers’ body cameras will show exactly what happened, since they were standing 12 to 15 feet away, he said. The department will review the officers’ actions to determine why they fired at Noble while he was on the ground and if there were other options, he said. Officers have to make split-second decisions, Dyer noted.

“There is going to be questions,” he said. “It’s an unfortunate tragedy that occurred in this city.”

Pulled over for backing out of a driveway "kinda funny"

I thought this comment was kinda funny:

Wasn't breaking any laws?

In case you missed it, he's a BLACK GUY driving a MERCEDES BENZ and he was seen EXITING A DRIVEWAY in a neighborhood which is not 100% black people. I mean, c'mon, that's practically probable cause right there, and all they need it reasonable suspicion.

This guy has no reason to get upset - the cop even told him that he "pulled out funny", and he knows damn well that's a crime. If he wants to avoid this sort of thing in the future, all he has to do is not be black, not drive a Mercedes, not pull out of his driveway funny, and not be black. Also, not being black would be a good idea.

Police are ******* morons (remember kids: only criminals own/carry guns):

Dallas police slammed for tweeting picture of 'suspect'

https://twitter.com/DallasPD/status/751262719584575488

The Dallas police department has come under fire for releasing an image of a man they said they were searching for as a suspect in the immediate aftermath of the shooting.

The man, named Mark Hughes, turned himself in after a photo of him holding a rifle was circulated on social media and on national television. He was later released.

At a press conference, police called the man in the photo a "person of interest," but he was seen on camera with other marchers when the gunfire started.

Many people on Twitter called out the Dallas police department for being irresponsible with the photo and urged them to delete the tweet with the picture.

..Mark's brother Cory Hughes, a protest organiser, told KTVT he was "100 percent sure" his brother was not a suspect and he was getting death threats as a result of the misidentification.

"My brother was marching with us. Because he's my brother and I understood the severity of the situation, I told my brother, 'Give that gun away,"' Cory Hughes said. "He never thought that by exercising his right, he'd be plastered over the national media as a suspect."

...

A video later surfaced showing Mark Hughes handing over his rifle to police while also receiving a business card from an officer.

...

Hughes said he was interrogated for 30 minutes with police officers "lying" that they had a video of him shooting.

Arrested for breaking no law.

Denied right to attorney.

Kidnapped for over 8 hours.

Doyle claims false arrest - News - MailTribune.com - Medford, OR

A retired city attorney is suing the city of Medford and two police officers, saying he was unlawfully detained, injured and denied rights following a traffic stop and arrest that was never prosecuted.Ronald Lee Doyle, 67, of Ashland, who had worked for the city of Medford for more than two decades before retiring as city attorney in 2005, claims he was denied access to an attorney, forced to provide a urine sample under a falsely obtained search warrant, and wrongfully lodged in detox and at jail for an "unreasonable amount of time" after a traffic stop on Dec. 5, 2014, according to documents filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Medford.Doyle is seeking a jury trial against the city and two Medford police officers individually for damages alleging injury and humiliation. He claims Officer Paul Mellgren escalated an investigation that Doyle was driving while impaired even after a Breathalyzer result showed him well below the legal limit.Doyle claims he suffered nerve damage to his left arm after he was handcuffed for more than three hours that evening, despite alerting Mellgren he has shoulder injuries. Doyle was held at the Jackson County Jail for more than eight hours before his release early the next morning.Medford police Chief Randy Sparacino said he couldn't comment about the case because it involves an open civil matter. City Attorney Lori Cooper said the city received a copy of the complaint Thursday."We're reviewing it," Cooper said.According to a copy of Doyle's police report obtained by the Mail Tribune, Mellgren observed Doyle pulling out of the Trophy Club parking lot in his Honda Ridgeline truck at about 11 p.m. and making an "improper right turn" into the middle lane of South Central Avenue. After stopping Doyle in the Wells Fargo parking lot on South Riverside Avenue, Mellgren said he smelled an "obvious" amount of alcohol and that Doyle's eyes were "watery" and "bloodshot," according to the police report. When asked how much alcohol he'd consumed that night, Doyle said he hadn't had any, the report states.Doyle introduced himself to Mellgren as the former city attorney while he fished for his insurance information. When Mellgren asked him to step out of the vehicle, Doyle refused, telling Mellgren he was pulled over for a "silly" reason and had "prosecuted those cases for 18 years," according to the report. Doyle challenged Mellgren to either "arrest me now, or give me my license back," the report states. After Doyle declined a standardized field sobriety test, Mellgren took him into custody and transported him to the Moore detoxification center, where Doyle blew .01 into a Breathalyzer, well below the .08 legal limit, according to the report.Doyle said in his complaint that he refused examination by Medford Officer Patrick Dennis, a drug recognition expert. Dennis assisted Mellgren at detox and is also named in the suit on allegations of excessive force, false arrest and imprisonment and illegal search and seizure.Doyle refused a urine test and asked for a lawyer, the police report states. He was then transported to Providence Medford Medical Center, where he consented to providing a urine sample after he was told by hospital staff they would place a catheter in him if he didn't.Doyle alleges Mellgren refused Doyle's request to speak with a lawyer."We're in the investigation stage — there is no right to an attorney," Mellgren told Doyle, according to the complaint.Mellgren said in his report he told Doyle he was no longer entitled to a phone call because Doyle had already taken a breath test and refused the urine sample. Doyle then demanded Mellgren call then-police Chief Tim George and Mellgren's father, former Medford police Chief Eric Mellgren, the report states. In the report, Mellgren said he "elected against" contacting George or his father "since I am an adult."The complaint alleges that Mellgren obtained the search warrant for Doyle's urine sample under false pretenses. Mellgren stated at the time of Doyle's arrest that he had probable cause to believe he'd find controlled substances in Doyle's urine, according to Doyle's complaint. But Mellgren later testified at a Driver and Motor Vehicle Services hearing regarding Doyle's driver-license suspension that he didn't believe Doyle was under the influence of a controlled substance, inhalant or alcohol, Doyle's complaint alleges.Mellgren took Doyle to jail, where he was lodged. At about 2 a.m., a jail deputy told Doyle he could be released after he blew .04 or lower, the complaint states. When Doyle blew zero shortly thereafter, the jailer said Medford police ordered him held, the complaint alleges. After he was released the next morning, Doyle went to the emergency room at Providence Medford Medical Center, where he was diagnosed with ulnar neuropathy in his left arm and prescribed methylprednisolone, an anti-inflammation steroid. He was instructed to see a neurologist, who determined Doyle had suffered severe ulnar nerve damage to his left arm, the complaint states. The Jackson County District Attorney's Office never prosecuted the case, Doyle's complaint states, and there's no mention of Doyle's arrest in circuit court records.Doyle declined to speak about the case, referring comments to his lawyer Marianne Dugan of Eugene, who did not immediately return a message Thursday. In 2008, Doyle sued the city of Medford claiming he was entitled to “bridge” health insurance until he turned 65 after taking early retirement. Though Doyle initially won his case in Jackson County Circuit Court, it was overturned by the Oregon Court of Appeals in 2014. Doyle is still fighting the case in circuit court, according to court records.
