So I did that and:
1. wow, lots of heat coming off this thing. Ceramic coating your turbine housing is a good idea. As is a big hood vent above your turbo, assuming above said hood vent is in a low pressure area.
2. Chinese turbos are not as good as American turbos. There is a significant difference between the performance of these turbos. The larger Precision turbo is better everywhere, by a lot. Like.....not even close. Precision builds boost sooner and more of it quicker. Precision is also a lot quieter, which may note be a good thing for ricer types. The chinese turbo makes a lot of the typical turbo compressor surge garble on part throttle shifts, etc.
I never looked at the precision turbo while idling (you can hear it whhirrrllll for a while after shutting off the car), but at idle with the chinese turbo, it doesn't spin. Blip the throttle and it does, but then it quickly stops. It's a little hard to rotate too. Shut off the car and it spins easily.

Did you ever sell the 2560 that you were using for all your different manifolds?

Yeah, I guess so. Oh well, it was a fun experiment anyway, and I don't have that much $ into it. Do you have any oem subaru 2.5l turbos you want to donate to me? hehe.
maybe these are supposed to break in? It's weird. As soon as I start the car, the shaft gets stiff. Some thrust bearing issue maybe? I won't find out, its coming off tomorrow. The car is very rich in boost (

I didn't do much over the winter other than attempt, again, to get rid of a high speed vibration by balancing my driveshaft. A few hours moving various clamp on weights around and I'm now very happy with it.
I also made a skid plate for my oil cooler as some of the fins got smooshed at some point last summer. Cooler efficiency seems higher as well. Borderline too cool.
Hit 8000 for the first time yesterday merging into traffic. Still haven't hit the redline. I have no *****.

I lowered the rear suspension 2 weeks ago, so it's now level. But still have to redo the camber in the back now. I have not driven it in those 2 weeks though.
Here's my problem making a video. At work, there's NO place to make a video. it's extremely busy around here, the roads suck, etc. At home, I have to get my wife to operate the camera, which means we either need a baby sitter (not gonna happen for something like this) or a day we are both off...and it needs to be nice out. The stars just haven't aligned in the past few years to do so.
I'm thinking of setting up a tripod and doing it solo. Or maybe an external mic taped above the exhaust pipe and then inside the engine bay, and a gopro inside the car.
I'm also going to reinstall an amp for the speakers. I removed all that crap 10 years ago but now that good digital amps are the size of snickers bars, I think I can fit something nice under the passenger seat.
The car is brilliant. Lovely to drive & absolutely civil manners. Really, really, REALLY stupid quick. still at 12psi, cause, really, the power is not usable. 2nd spins part throttle, 3rd you have to roll into it, and you're north of anything remotely safe well before you hit the rev limiter, which i have NEVER done. I have it set at 8000 still, never hit it. It never stops pulling...the speeds just get scary.
The weird ticking while turning that has haunted me the past few years has disappeared.
I'd sell it for the right price. It needs paint and I'm not looking forward to doing that.

Yesterday being Yom Kippur meant a large portion of our parking lot was empty when our day was over. So I had my brother/coworker use my phone to take some quick driveby videos.
