Default How does this Chinacharger look?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33742

I'm looking to replace my SR20 turbo that's blowing and burning excessive amounts of oil and has broken compressor blades (It was 90 dollars, boo hoo). It looks like that's a bit bigger and beefier, but how dies it look?

Anyone running this? Think it'll bolt up to my current setup (T2, standard 5-bolt outlet flange)

Sorry for the noobish questions, but the last time I didn't ask I got fucked by a non-standard outlet flange (******' Chinese) or... another fucked outlet flange.

I'm about to pull the trigger as soon as I get some confirmation

Shuiends was asking me about one last night. I pointed him to this, spec'd like a GT28 (journal bearing equivalent of the GT2560). Flanges look normal.

I am also planning on going with that one in the very near future to replace my SR20 t25. I am hoping it gives me a little more on the top end.

Shoot him an offer of like 175$ shipped and see if he takes it.

I just ordered it, I'll tell you how it is before you buy it if you'd like.

Did you make them an offer on it or just pay the $200? Also can you let me know where it is shipping from?

It looks phenomenal, and it bolted right now. I haven't had much time to test it yet because of some MS problems I'm having but from what I can get from the small test drives I've had it spools nice, sounds nice it's very well put together.

Two thumbs up for it.

I just got my MS issues sorted - overboost was set to -0.6psi so it was pulling fuel as soon as I hit boost.

Anyways, this is basically a Chinese 2560. Its power delivery is smooth, and it spools relatively quickly. The wastegate needed a bit of work before it fit on properly and it can only be held on by one bolt in my configuration because the oil supply gets in the way (it's clocked strait up). I'll grab pictures in a second.

Thanks for the updates. Next can you get a log of a boosted run and post a picture of it? How do you compare the spool to your old SR20 2554?

I was gonna use an older rebuilt AiResearch T04E that I've had here in the shop on my setup but I'm thinking I'm going to sell it and use a similar sized Chinacharger. You can buy them with the compressors pre-polished and everything and I can use the extra money on bills. hah
