acutally, word of advice....on the pic with the return fitting....there is a hold with a missing bolt....that points to the front...the a/c bolts into it....if there isn't anything there to plug the hole you'll have a big spill.

From looking at my oil pump that spot doesn't have a direct path to the oil flow. The problem is that it is the only bolt for the oil pump on that side of the motor, so if nothing is there then oil can seep out at full oil pressure. Also, on the part drawings from mazda there is a shorter bolt that goes there on cars that have no ac.

I think what I love about function... is it leads to form. Something truely functional and done with some attention to detail... can look HOT
Although... I'll admit... I gave into some bling with the valve cover... possibly the first bling item I've ever bought for any of my cars.

Are you putting the bumper back on or just the cover? I don't like the idea of ditching the bumper since it's only a matter of time before I hit something or something hits me.

I might toss a bar based 'bumper' under it. Its mainly being built for track duty... but it will be streetable.
I run with minimal bumper pieces on my civic and no issues. I just don't hit things

Its designed to be very efficient. They both get fresh air, no interefence from stacking IC/Rad/AC etc... Both have air being pulled through also.
Radiator will have 2 pull through fans under it and behind them is the oil cooler so it'll get air flow also.
Intercooler has hood vent to pull air through at speed.
Technically... it has the ability to be more efficient than traditional setups... hopefully I manage to achieve that... since it is the entire reason for that part of the build.
