Default High Intake Temps

So i've been datalogging after installing my MegaSquirt ECU and noticed that my intake temps after the turbo is extremely high!! Right now its running around 140-150 degrees F. I have no intercooler right now and am running 5-6 psi. Is this what the greddy kits are putting out too?

I better hurry and put an intercooler on!!

Yeah, well at least it feels a lot better than stock!! Ha Ha, can't wait til I put an intercooler on. Is it safe at these temp levels?

So long as your timing is under control, yeah. Not ideal, but safe.

53*F to 71* - 13psi 230rwhp

140-150*F at 5-6psi sounds about right without an intercooler

Its damn hot!! I'm not even boosting when the temps are like that. When i let the car sit at idle after a drive the temps get down to about 120-130. Must be a combination of the hot engine bay and the temp of the turbo itself.

How hot are your IAT readings when you guys sit at idle?

Well, the ambient temps here is around the 80's not cold like most of you. Maybe I should invest in strips intercooler kit soon!!

Could the hot IAT cause misfiring at low rpms under load? I get just one misfire at around 2k under heavy load. Just trying to tune the MS so i'm pushing the car at all map and rpm values.

Just did more datalogging during normal driving and the temps seem to be hanging around 120-130. Only when I stand still idling do i ever see 140+ temps. I've found the right intercooler to use, so soon i'll have an intercooler!! Now to find injectors since slidinmiata916 didn't ever send me the 2 rx7 460cc injectors!!! I gotta find 2 more since atlanta sent me his.....anyone got 2 they wanna sell??
