Default How do i take apart a vortech FMU?

The fitting coming off of the unit on the side has AN flare fitting and i want to run hose barbs. The fittings a elbow so i can't unscrew it with out it hitting the top half of the unit. What am i in for when i disasemble it? Any ideas other than cut off the AN and unscrew it...

The small lower part where the fitting goes is attached to the large saucer with 4 allen screws. You take apart the large saucer where you would normally change out the discs to get to them. If you take apart the lower part, you'll find a small silicon rubber membrane that looks a lot like the larger one. Under the silicon rubber membrane you'll find an aluminum disc that has to be centered between the 4 allen screws.

Technically, you aren't supposed to take any of that apart though. I've taken two apart but the small rubber membranes were already messed up.

All you'd see is pictures or video of a guy unscrewing 4 allen screws. At some point, you'll have to change out your 12:1 disc if you haven't done so already. Once you crack your Vortech open to do that, you'll see what I mean.

You have to use a cutting torch and weld it back together. It's the only way.

Unless you can find some allen wrenches, but those are nearly impossible to find and really hard to use.
