I emailed to ask how fast they update. Would be a great wideband gauge for those of us with programmable outputs, which is most widebands nowadays. I'll let you know the speed once I find out.

It's just a panel voltmeter. I've recommended **** like this from digikey before.

Biggest problem is it's almost 3 inches long so it wouldn't fit in a gauge pod with a fabbed up panel. I have a Motec WB and mounted it in holes 2-3 of the 3 gauge radio pod. I used a PVC cap to space it over the 2 holes. I'd rather have one that could fit within a gauge pod.

you sound just like my wife.

I dont mind a ghetto look if it saves me some $. Guy said it updates 3x a second. Do you guys think thats a good enough refresh rate, or should I just go with something purpose built, or something else entirely?

There's nothing really worng with it. I doubt even a cheap one off ebay can really be all that bad...

Well after rummaging through a box of crap, I found a 5v DC powered panel meter.

I hacked apart an unused cigarette lighter cell phone charger to power it and ran some wires through my dash to later rendezvous with the LM-1 output (1v-10:1, 2v-20:1).

I took a propane heater to my pillar pod and got it all melty to make room for the big *** panel meter. The JBWeld should be cured tonite so I'll post some pics then.

The refresh rate might be a bit slow to tune by but will be fine and dandy for casual monitoring.

how difficult is it to hook a narrowband (liek autometer) a/f gauge to an lc-1? my lc-1 is in the mail so i can't really look at it. it's planned for my MS install but that a fw months out so id like to get the wideband in a working now.

I've never done it but it's probably pretty easy assuming the LC-1 has programmable output(s) (i've never used an LC-1 personally).

The problem would be remembering which LED represents which A/F ratio

You can hook up a narrowband gauge to the LC1 and set the LC1's narrowband emulation to be linear so the reading would be extremely accurate.

Gutted a cigarette lighter cell phone charger for the 12v to 5v bits

Tapped into some wiring for 12v during IG key position

JBWeld to the rescue
