He has the swap complete, I'll repost from this thread: K24 Miata swap... finally a reality - Page 13 - K20A.org .:. The K Series Source . Honda / Acura K20a k24a Engine Forum

Everything works. OEM cluster is fully operational. From the outside, it looks exactly the same as before, you'd never guess its K powered until the hood is popped.

Time to beat on it for a couple thousand miles and a final product will be out soon after."
You can ballpark a price based on his list:

Interested to see what you come up with. There is no right or wrong way to do it, and once the car is in front of you, you'll see how tight some of the clearances are, and how little room there is in certain areas. My solution works great and is cost effective, which was my main goal with the design.

subframe
mounts
adapter plate
flywheel
wiring harness
header
oil pan
oil pump and pickup

you add:
engine
kpro
factory wiring harness
S2000 manifold/TB and my adapter plate
...or ITBs

K20 or K24?

K24 seems more common (well, not really common at all) in an S2000. I don't think I've seen a k20 swap. People generally want the extra torqure from the +400cc if they're going through the trouble of swapping.

Just like I said. A lot of Honda people do things because they are different, not because they make sense. This is why you cant rely on their data, or lack thereof.

It was definitely a K20.

I mean... if i had an S2000 shell, i'd probably do it. Because "cheaper" or something, maybe?

While this is true, in this particular case it definitely makes sense to me. More displacement, more torque that the s2k desperately needs, more aftermarket support, 300whp n/a capable. It would be much more expensive to make 300whp n/a on a f20 engine. Cheaper engines for replacement after track abuse.

I agree the f22 is the far superior engine in OEM form, but keep in mind there are far, FAR, more k series engines out there and much more support to make big power on em.

How did they address the steering geometry issue?

gotta give us Honda guys a little more credit. We aren't all a bunch of idiots. Lots of us road race and actually know what we are talking about.

Even a K20 has a better powerband than an F20, not to mention 1/3 of the replacement cost. K24 would be better suited to an S2000 in my opinion but whatever, not my car.

On another note, I drove the Miata for about 100 miles today. Its awesome even in its underpowered form, mid range power is just fantastic. Looking forward to more testing, and then a proper header, exhaust, and cams to make another 35-40whp, revving to about 8000 rpm.

edit: another bonus to this swap. It was pretty straightforward to make the OEM Miata gauge cluster work. Every gauge and indicator light works just like before, which is really nice for a street vehicle.

Testing is going great on this car, I've been driving it all over the place the last few days with no issues.

Now my only question is, being a car to car, I'm wondering if there would be a way to run the stock k ecu. By keeping the oem ecu, running an oem honda intake manifold and throttle body *even though it is off another engine, its still honda* and oem or allready CARB apporved intake, it might be possible to get this swap BAR'd in, in california. Ive talked to state ref guys before, and despite the rumors and fear of failing, BARing in some swaps isint difficult if you keep some things in mind while planning and installing.

Oh yeah I forgot about the "delete the front right wheel and replace with oem k20 header" option

about 600 miles on the setup now, zero issues, and just a blast to drive. This motor is perfect in this chassis. Few more pics up on the original k20a.org thread if you're interested.
