Which Fuel Injectors fit?
Ok, so I have read this thread:
http://miataturbo.wikidot.com/fuel-injectors
In it, there is a list of injectors that are PNP for a Miata. And, also a list of PNP injectors that are Low impedance.
I am looking for a set of injectors for my turbo build. I am incredibly cheap. So, I am looking for a set of injectors with the following qualities:
-Must fit stock Miata 1.8L fuel rail and intake.
-OEM from some vehicle - making them really cheap used.
-Want to make ~250hp so looking for roughly 440cc
-Need to be high impedance. Using an aftermarket ECU (ProEFI) that does not have the capability of driving low impedance injectors. I don't want to use resistors inline ('cause it is super hack), and I don't want to spend the cash on a separate peak and hold driver
(like this: http://www.jbperf.com/p&h_board/index.html#Buy).
-Does not need to have stock oval injector clips. Since my car is a '90 and is batch fire, I will need to rewire the injector harness to go sequential anyways. So, no big deal to replace the injector clips.
I have a set of '87 RX7 440 injectors, a set of DSM blue top 440's, and a set of Supra 7MGTE 440 injectors. All are low impedance, so not doing me any good right now. Looking to sell any of the above if anyone is interested.
Really just looking for a list of high impedance injectors with the correct dimensions to fit the rail, but don't need the miata injector connector. So, i'll call it PNP-lite.
Any ideas?

all of those fit lol. um get 460cc red top injectors. there is a pnp which plugs right into the stock harness and there is a version like mine that needs a pigtail and some sanding on one side.

I am really looking to expand the pool of available injectors - instead of just 89-91 RX-7 or RX-8 injectors.
Can I find some injectors from the PNP list for sale? Sure, there are some for sale right here on this website. But, I'm not in a hurry to get them right away, so I would like the chance to look around for a good deal (see my first post about being REALLY cheap). The more injector types available that fit, the more likely I can find some for a good deal.
Are there distinguishing features about the PNP injectors that make them so unique that no other injectors will fit?

If an injector fits the intake/fuel rail, but doesn't fit the electrical connectors - would you still call that PNP? I was under the impression that it wouldn't be considered PNP, which is why I am specifically asking for injectors that physically fit, yet don't have the same electrical connectors. If the PNP list already includes these types, and no others will fit, just let me know, and I will go on my happy way.
Resistors are hack for several reasons. They require a giant box to house them that needs to fit in the engine bay somewhere, and also create poor injector control. The resistor limits the amount of current going to the injector, which makes the opening time extremely unpredictable. This would be most noticeable at idle, as the pulsewidths at idle are small, so the variation in actual injection time is a large percentage of the total pulse. At higher loads and WOT, the pulse length is large enough that the opening variation has a much smaller impact on the total fuel flowing. In conclusion - I don't want resistors.
I don't think making a new Miata injection harness is super hack - as the injection harness is a completely separate harness that plugs into the main engine harness. Should be fairly easy to update it. Or maybe not? Anyone have some pictures of an updated 1.6 sequential injector harness?

I see your points. That list mentioned in the DIY post is by no means complete, nor is it completely physical/electrical* PNP. They're all physically PNP, I'm fairly certain a few of them are electrically not PNP.
If you want something cheap thats both physically and electrically PNP, buy RX-7 460s. There are troves of rx-7 forum members willing to sell theirs as they upgrade for dirt cheap, we're talking sub $50 shipped. If you're willing to wait like you say you are, that's your ticket. Find them in a junk yard for even cheaper.
*let's ignore the fact that the electronic injector clips need to physically fit for argument sake?
