Default Begi S1 Dyno numbers

Tried posting on m.net but the file sizes were too big. Appears allowable file size is much larger here.

Anyways, I took the car to be dynoed and tuned, and found out that the stock clutch was slipping too much to do any consistent pulls. Attached are the dyno sheets from one of the pulls that the dyno operator said had the least amount of slippage.

While I shop for a new clutch (likely FM level 1 w/ 1.8 flywheel from autozone), I'd like to find out why my AFR is so rich under boost. I have the FMU neede valve turned pretty close to the lowest rate of rise. Don't know if it matters, but my base timing is 12 and Bipes is pulling 6 total. The spool also appears to be really slow, which I believe is because of the 2.25 exhaust? Or is the spool still bad even for my 2.25 exhaust?

Your spool looks slow even for a 2.25" exhaust. My T3 spools faster than that with a cat and 2.25" exhaust. If your clutch is slipping then there won't be as much load which will keep the turbo from spooling.

That's not terriby slow spool, not great though. Your low afr come from the begi afpr, don't forget to lower your base pressure, which should help, but lower it too much and you'll have issues transitioning into boost. You should be able to tune that out at your current pressure though. Much higher and you either run big rich or have a rough transition into boost.

thanks for posting that, brain.

curly, what do you mean by lowering my base pressure? you mean to adjuster the center screw on the afpr? it's currently set at around 50 at 0 boost. also, would inserting the small restrictor in the signal line help with the rich afr?

I wouldn't mess with the restrictor just yet. Mainly because I never did, so I'm not sure how it will react. I suffered through a crappy boost transition for quite some time to get my target AFR at the track, but it wasn't my daily. Lean it out till when you floor it starting at 2000ishrpm it falls on it's face when entering boost (should be running very lean at that point, so don't stay there long!), then richen up just a hair till it stops, that'll be about perfect. It's what I did and it worked good. This is all with the center screw, I never had any luck adjusting the needle valve, didn't seem to do anything. When I first got rid of the boost transition issue, it was dipping into the low 10's above 5000rpms and had no power gain after that, leaning it out just a hair provided good boost transition and high 10's, which was good for more powah.
