Did I just waste my time and money?
I just bought a complete rear end off of an automatic 96 miata m edition. From what I read its not lsd can someone confirm this before I bolt this up? I spent $600...

Not standard on M Edition. Was an option for the regular models, but who would put an LSD in an auto trans car?

But....not on the automatics. Automatic = no LSD. Don't think it was an option on any automatic 1990-1997 (and likely 1999-2005 and even 2006+).
Sorry, but yes, you wasted your money. :(

yeah I'm not sure what some people are smoking, but a whole torsen rear usually runs 300-700.....up to max 1k for the really nice MSM or 3.9fd setups......
but some rtards sell them for 1200-1600 and even bigger retards actually pay that kinda money for them, so why not make some good money lol

If it was the original diff in the car you have a 4.1 open rear.
Edit: If you look through the axle shaft hole and see a metal pin obstructing your view = open. If it looks like either pic below its a Torsen.
I have Torsens available for less than you spent on your open. PM me if you are interested.
